To prepare for your treatmentl, avoid direct sun exposure and tanning for at least one week before your treatment to prevent sensitivity and ensure optimal results. Discontinue use of skincare products containing retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), or any other strong exfoliants at least 3 to 5 days prior to the facial, as these can increase skin sensitivity. Additionally, drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment to keep your skin well-hydrated and improve its responsiveness.

After your BioWave treatment, you may return to normal activities immediately. To support results:

• keep skin well hydrated • apply SPF daily • avoid heat treatments (saunas, steam rooms) for 24–48 hours • avoid exfoliating products for 48 hours • avoid active skincare (retinoids, acids) for 48 hours • avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours if skin feels warm • follow any personalised advice given at your appointment

Avoid prolonged sun exposure for 48 hours and wear SPF daily.

BioWave may not be suitable if you:

• have a pacemaker or implanted medical device • are pregnant • have epilepsy • have active cancer or are undergoing chemotherapy / radiotherapy • have uncontrolled heart conditions • have metal implants in the treatment area • have an active skin infection, inflammation or open wounds • have recently had facial surgery or injectable treatments without clearance • have severe rosacea, dermatitis or compromised skin barrier
